Travel Packing Tips For Easing Airport Security

Airport Security

As alarming security threats faced by the passengers have increased recently, the airport security at almost all the airports around the world has been tightened. The US Transportation Security Administration has advised certain travel packing tips and airport security information for travelers. Security has been constricted especially during the flight check in. For ensuring a trouble free business class travel, it is better to reach the airport at least two hours before the flight time. By arriving early you don’t have to face long lines at check-in counters and airport screening stations.

Carry On Baggage

Carry-on baggage is a small piece of luggage that has been allowed to be taken with the airplane with you.  If you are traveling on business class flights, you can also take laptop computer or back pack along with the carry-on baggage. Depending upon the criteria determined by each airline, the carry-on baggage would be screened in the x-ray machine. Hence before commencing the journey, you need to check with the airline to make sure your bag would meet the airline’s size requirements.

Liquids and Gels

You must be careful while carrying liquids, gels and aerosols as there have been strict regulations on carrying the same during business class travel. All such liquid products should be preferably carried in small containers. Larger containers are usually not allowed. However there would be exceptions regarding the quantity for prescription and over the counter drugs like eye drops and saline solutions.  Also people with medical condition or disability are allowed to carry liquids. Baby formula, breast milk and juice are also permitted if a baby is traveling.

Laptop

As you carry your laptop computers in business class flights, it is important to label them as it would help in avoid missing of the equipment or even accidental exchange by travelers. While you are allowed to take in carry-on baggage, there would be the checked baggage that you need to be checked in at ticket counter and would not be accessible during your flight. The checked baggage should be locked owing to security purposes.

Keep in mind the following things so that the checked in baggage would go through a smooth check in process. Never put film in the baggage as screening equipment would damage it. Try not to over pack the travel luggage as it would hinder the easy inspection of the luggage. It is better to avoid packing food and drink items in checked baggage.
