Ten Tips for Business Travelers

Traveling long distance has become important for business travelers. People have to travel more due to career or job changes. Here are a few tips that will make business travel less stressful and more enjoyable.

packing pre booking secondary airports  reaching airport hotels

If you’re going for a business trip try to pack only essential things. Don’t carry extra clothes as you can buy at your destination. Use hotel laundry if you are planning to stay for a few days or week. While packing, roll your clothes as it takes less space and reduces wrinkles.

Try pre-booking your airline seats as you can choose your favorite seat.

Try flying in secondary airports because it is less expensive and less crowded. These airports have fewer flights and fewer delays than larger airports.

Arrive early at the airport rather than getting there at the last minute and taking the risk of missing your flight.

Business travelers should choose a hotel which is within their budget. Hotels that cater to business travelers have internet, computer, fax machines and photocopiers.

CDcalling cards  american express card adapter passport

Carry all your important documents on CD’s, USB drives, flash drives so that you can get them printed at a local printing store. By carrying electronic documents you can avoid excess luggage and risk of losing your documents.

While traveling use calling cards to reduce your expenses. While you’re on a business travel you may have to call your colleagues, boss, friends or family which may become quite expensive if you use hotel phone. Cell phone companies offer new rates. They also have roaming charges.

If you’re traveling overseas frequently, get an American Express card in addition to a Master card and Visa. American express card is accepted in more places in North America.

If you’re traveling to a foreign country, carry adaptors and converters with you.

When you’re out for a business deal, make copies of your travel documents, passport, airline tickets, travel insurance, credit cards, license and itinerary etc.

We hope these tips may help business travelers prepare for their next trip. If you’re visiting a foreign country, book business class flights on iflybusiness.
