Take nonstop flights: There are chances of accidents to happen during takeoff, climb, descent and landing phase. So if you are taking nonstop flights and routes, it would reduce the exposure to such accident prone phases of the flight.
Go for larger aircraft: Under the strictest regulations and rules, aircrafts with huge seating capacity are all well designed and certified. Moreover, in the unlikely event of any accidents, a larger aircraft offer a better opportunity for the survival of passengers. Hence it is best to go for larger carriers.
Always prefer rear seats: According to numerous studies, it has been found out that the seats at the rear ends of the flights are more comfortable and are the safest in the event of crash.However it is also easy for boarding and deplaning if you are at the upfront.
