A spokeswoman for the airline, that is reputed in the industry for its business and first class services to North America and Europe conveyed that there is increased demand, and that's why the flights are escalating. Regional aviation analyst Jim Wong of Nomura Securities in Hong Kong stated that SIA's recent progress reflected a better trend as Asian economies lead the rest of the world in recuperating from the crisis. Wednesday, December 9, 2009Singapore Airlines is chosen to be the Official Airline for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which is to be held in August 2010 in Singapore. The Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) and Singapore Airlines today stated that the sponsorship agreement has been signed.Based on this agreement, the Airline will issue air tickets, carriage of airfreight, including promotion of the Games through its proprietary media channels.
