Girma Wake ,Chief executive of the state-owned airliner, stated that the Ethiopian Airlines performance is noteworthy as many airlines across the globe are witnessing a major downward unexpected result in their profits.Due to universal economic crisis, soaring fuel price and other related challenges, several African airliners have undergone losses due to decline in traffic from abroad.Inspite of the hurdles, CEO Girma Wake stated that the airlines has attained high profits and succeeded in transporting approximately 2.8 million passengers this year,which is a 12.3 percentage increase over the previous year.Girma Wake also stated that the Ethiopian Airlines is extremely confident and is focused on its vision to 2010 to take hold of its chief objectives regardless of any constraints it might have to face in future. Ethiopian Airlines is one of the biggest airlines from the African continent, and one of the the minority flight operators that has made immense profits in the present international financial chaos.
